Catch up on the highlights of our 2017 Annual outing …
27 members with 12 wives and friends took the trip to the National Museum of Flight, Scotland, near North Berwick on June 19th. After a refreshment stop on the A1 at the Berwick Garden Centre, they arrived at the museum at 12.30 pm to spend over 3 hours looking at all what was on show. A small number took the option of taking some of that time to visit North Berwick on the Forth of Firth coast. The trip returned via the A68 and a 3 course meal was enjoyed at the Redesdale Arms before returning to Hexham.
There were static displays of civil and military aircraft, including Concorde and a Vulcan. The hangars also had good audio visual presentations and there was one interactive venue which included simulators. The Aviator Café had a good selection of food for lunch. The members who took the trip were very appreciative of the day out.
